Madeline, or Maddy for short, is a free-spirited deep thinker, eternal optimist and science and nature dork that cares deeply about her community and leaving the world better than she found it.  She spent her early years studying philosophy and thinking about questions like "What does it meant to live a good life?"  She went from her head to her hands and back into her body through floral design and herbalism and began her studies in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Bastyr University.  Around this same time, she also became a Doula.  She is a trained Circle Facilitator through Dream Hive in New York and was the Co-Owner of the wellness oriented apothecary and cafe-The Wells Cafe in NY which is now known as Alchemy & Nectar.  Maddy's favorite thing about Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine is that it is an empirical medicine that has evolved with humans over the past 4,000 years- as such, it often has a treatment or recommendation for any state of dis-ease a person may be experiencing.  Her identity as a doula helps inform her practice, she truly wants to be a resource for all her patients, based on their healing goals, and her sessions often incorporate nutrition or lifestyle guidance if her patient is interested.  Although Acupuncture has a very large scope, some of Maddy's favorite things to help improve are Anxiety and Depression, Digestive Issues, Hormonal Balance, Fertility, Pain, Sleep Issues and Women's Health.  Maddy is trained in Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture and Abdominal Toning Protocols and in providing Gua Sha Facials.  A firm believer in food as medicine, Maddy provides nourishing organic cleanse opportunities and postpartum and post-surgery meal deliveries.
